What we do

Specialist lending for first home buyers and aspiring property investors.

We don't try to be everything to everyone. We focus on one thing: helping aspirational Australians get into property and set up their lending so they can keep going.

First home buyer loans

Your first home is a big deal. Let's walk through it together.

A street view with a foreground of asphalt road, middle section of grass and dirt, and background of modern residential houses with dark roofs and some with solar panels, under a clear blue sky.

Buying your first home is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make, and one of the most confusing. Between deposit requirements, government grants, loan types, interest rates and lender criteria, it's no wonder it feels like you need a finance degree just to get started.

You don't. You just need someone who can explain it in plain English, compare your options across dozens of lenders, and walk you through how each one is structured so you can decide what fits.

What we help you with?

• Working out how much you can actually borrow, not just the bank's number

• Navigating government schemes like the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme and First Home Owner Grant

• Understanding Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) and how to avoid or reduce it

• Comparing fixed and variable rates and what actually makes sense for you

• Picking the loan features suitable for your goals and situation. For example, offset accounts, redraw and repayment flexibility

• Lodging and managing your full application from start to settlement

This is for you if: you're buying your first property and want someone to walk you through every step without making you feel daft for asking questions.

Investment property loans

Your first investment property is where your portfolio begins, and where the biggest mistakes get made.

Most people who want to invest in property never actually do, and it's usually not because they can't afford it. It's because they don't know where to start, or they're scared of getting the structure wrong.

The lending decisions made on a first investment property affect borrowing capacity for the next one. We'll walk you through how structure works so you understand the trade-offs before you commit

Investment lending is our specialty. We look at your full financial picture, get clear on your long-term goals, and structure your loan to give you the most room to keep building.

What we help you with?

• Understanding how owner-occupier and investor loan structures differ

• Interest-only versus principal and interest, and what suits your strategy

• Using equity in an existing property to fund your investment deposit

• Recommending suitable lender options for investors, because not all lenders treat investors the same

• Building a loan structure that doesn't lock you out of property number two

This is for you if: you're a professional with a steady income who's ready to stop thinking about investing and actually start, and you want to do it properly from day one.

Loan structuring

A loan isn't just about the rate. It's about how the whole thing is set up.

One of the biggest mistakes property buyers make, especially first-time investors, is fixating on the interest rate and ignoring everything else. How your loan is structured decides how much flexibility you have, how much tax you can legitimately claim, and whether you can pull out equity for your next purchase.

We take a strategic approach to every loan we write. That means looking at how your lending fits your bigger financial goals, not just getting you approved and moving on to the next client.

What loan structuring covers?

• Choosing a suitable loan type for your strategy, like principal and interest (P&I) or interest-only, fixed or variable, or a split loan

• Setting up offset accounts and redraw facilities properly

• Structuring multiple loans across properties to keep your flexibility

• Avoiding cross-collateralisation traps that quietly limit your future borrowing

• Reviewing and refinancing existing loans that are holding you back

This is for you if: you already own property and want your loans working as hard as you are, or you're buying your first place and want it set up properly from the start.

Refinancing

Your loan made sense when you got it. Does it still?

A woman and man in a kitchen looking at a piece of paper, smiling and reacting excitedly.

Interest rates change. Your income changes. Your goals change. But most people stay in the same loan for years without ever asking whether it still stacks up.

Refinancing isn't just about chasing a lower rate. It's about making sure your loan structure still matches where you're at and where you're heading. We review your current lending, compare it against what's out there now, and tell you honestly whether switching makes sense, and if it does, how to do it without messing up your financial position.

Reasons to think about refinancing

• Your fixed rate period is ending and you want to know your options

• You've built up equity and want to use it for a reno or your next purchase

• Your current rate has crept up while better deals exist elsewhere

• Your situation has improved and you might qualify for better terms

• You want to consolidate debt or restructure across multiple properties

• You're paying for features and fees you don't actually use

This is for you if: you've had your loan for 2 years or more and haven't reviewed it lately, or your income, equity or goals have changed and you want your lending to keep up.

Construction and renovation loans

Building from the ground up, or transforming what you already have. Either way, we can help you finance it.

There is something genuinely exciting about building your own home. You get to choose the layout, the finishes, the orientation, everything. But a construction loan works very differently to a standard home loan, and understanding those differences upfront saves a lot of stress down the track.

Unlike a regular home loan where the full amount is released at settlement, a construction loan releases funds in stages as your build progresses. Each stage payment (called a progress draw) is made directly to your builder when they hit a milestone. You only pay interest on the amount drawn down at each stage, not the full loan amount from day one. Once the build is complete, the loan converts to a standard home loan.

We keep this service focused on straightforward residential builds. If your project is highly complex, we will be upfront with you and point you toward a specialist who is better placed to help. But for most first home buyers building their first home, knockdown and rebuild projects, and people building on land they already own, we can absolutely help.

Already own a property and want to renovate? We can help with that too. Whether you're planning a kitchen refresh or a full structural extension, there are several ways to fund a renovation, and which ones are available to you comes down to your equity, the scale of the project, and how your current lending is set up.

What we help you with?

• Understanding how a construction loan works and how the progress draw process operates

• Land and construction packages, buying land and building in one combined loan

• Knockdown and rebuild loans, financing both the demolition and the new build

• Building on land you already own, using existing equity as part of the solution

Renovation finance, including equity release, refinancing or a line of credit

• Navigating government grants and schemes for new builds including the First Home Owner Grant, the Australian Government 5% Deposit Scheme and state-based stamp duty concessions

• Comparing lenders, because not all lenders offer construction loans and those that do have very different policies

This is for you if: you are a first home buyer building your first home, a homeowner planning a knockdown and rebuild, someone building on land you already own, or an owner or investor looking to fund a renovation using your existing equity.
